There is a new Broadway musical opening up and making waves. The Broadway musical goes by the name of ELF celebrated the opening of the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. ELF is starred by Sebastian Arcelus, who gave out different treats and knickknacks of various kinds to various ages.
Kids ages 7 to 12 can enter to win a walk-on role in this Broadway musical. There are two tickets for the VIP viewing at the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade, which is the 84th in sequence taking place on Thursday, November 25 at 9 AM. Another treat is a sneak peek preview of Macy's SantaLand ® at Macy's Herald Square would Santa himself for a family of no more than four people. The date for this is to be scheduled on 11/21, 11/22 or 11/23. In addition there is a NOOKTM eBook Reader from Barnes & Noble making another notch in the number of various freebies and giveaways. Also there is a Family 4-Packs to VIP Skating at The Pond at Bryant Park. Then finally there are DVD copies of the movie ELF by New Line Cinema in addition to much more.
ELF opens at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on November 14 and previews will begin on Tuesday, November 2. There is also a limited in the current production geared for the holiday season that is to be played through Sunday January 2011.
Ranging from $39 to $137, the tickets for ELF include a nominal two dollar facility fee. ELF will star Sebastian Arcelus as ‘Buddy,' Amy Spanger as ‘Jovie,' ' Tony® Award nominee Mark Jacoby as ‘Walter,' Michael Mandell as ‘Store Manager,' Michael McCormick as ‘Mr. Greenway,' Valerie Wright as ‘Deb' and Matthew Gumley as ‘Michael.'
The production will also star Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel as ‘Emily,' and six-time Emmy® Award winner George Wendt as ‘Santa.'
Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit, ELF will feature songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). ELF will be directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Casey Nicholaw (The Drowsy Chaperone, Monty Python's Spamalot).
Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features present the new Broadway musical ELF, the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Buddy is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.
